Maryland Secretary of Aging Rona E. Kramer invites the public–especially older adults, adult children of aging parents, caregivers, and professionals in the field of aging–to a Town Hall meeting on Innovations in Aging at Home to be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on July 17th at Delmarva Community Services, 2450 Cambridge Beltway, Cambridge, MD 21613. Secretary Kramer will describe exciting initiatives designed to help Maryland’s older residents to age well at home, rather than having to move to higher levels of care, and enhance their quality of life while doing so.
“ What’s more,” Kramer says, ”Once seniors are in nursing homes, it takes a mere two years, on average, for them to “spend down” their hard-earned assets.”
If you are interested in hearing more from Secretary Kramer and having your voice heard, plan to attend. Please contact Pamela Sidle at 410-767-1102 if you have questions or need special accommodations.
