Antiques Appraisal Fair returns Oct. 13

What’s in your attic? And what is it worth? Find out at the Antiques Appraisal Fair to be held on Saturday, Oct. 13, sponsored by MAC, Inc., the Area Agency on Aging, and the Westside Historical Society. The event will be held at MAC, located at 909 Progress Circle in Salisbury, off Snow Hill Road.

Doors will open at 9:30 a.m., with appraisals from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Noted antiques experts Charlene Upham and Steve Blumenauer will offer verbal  fair market value appraisals of antiques, artwork, jewelry, collectibles, silver, coins, and more. For larger items, bring a clear photo for the appraisal. Admission is free; the cost for appraisals will be $5 per item and three for $10. Individuals are responsible for the safekeeping of their items.

New this year: The Antiques Appraisal Fair will be held in conjunction with Thrive: Senior Life After 55, a senior expo featuring displays and information from area businesses to help those age 55 and older get the most out of life. Thrive will be held at MAC on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and is being presented by the Salisbury Independent newspaper.

Admission to Thrive is free.
