You can eat healthy on a budget!
Learn how through a series of classes, “Healthy Cooking on a Budget,” offered at MAC, Inc.
Registered dietitian Gwyneth Bradshaw will teach participants how to eat well without sacrificing flavor, lose weight, lower blood sugar and save money.
She will also offer shopping tips, ideas for seasonings, ways to cut calories and carbs, tips on food preparation, and review food items that should be in every pantry.
Each class will include cooking demonstrations and the chance to taste each recipe.
Classes will be held the first three Mondays in March, April and May, from 11 a.m. to noon. Topics include:
- March 2: Snacks and drinks
- March 9: Breakfast
- March 16: Main dishes
- April 6: Salad and dressings
- April 13: Easy chicken dishes
- April 20: Soups and sandwiches
- May 4: Vegan dishes
- May 11: Vegetable side dishes
- May 18: Desserts
The cost is $5 per class, payable at the door in advance. Advance registration is suggested as space is limited. To reserve a seat, call 410-742-0505.
