“Technology Tools for Caregivers” can help with every day life

Family caregivers manage health emergencies, juggle priorities and suffer isolation – and all that was before COVID-19. The pandemic brings even more challenges for family caregivers.
The good news: there’s technology that can help with everyday life for caregivers, from special telephones and video communication systems, to big button TV remotes, medical alert systems, and low-tech labels for dresser drawers.
MAC, Inc., the Area Agency on Aging, and its Life Bridges program, will offer information on “Technology Tools for Caregivers” in a special Zoom presentation to be held Monday, Nov. 23, from 1 to 2 p.m. The presentation is being held in conjunction with National Family Caregivers Month.
Email mhedlesky@macinc.org for information on joining the Zoom presentation.
In addition, one-on-one consultations will be available for caregivers, to get a first-hand look at the assistive technology devices available. The consultations are available BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, and will be offered between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. To make an appointment, call Mike Hedlesky at 410-742-0505, Ext. 166.
