Stepping On Workshops help prevent falls; new classes scheduled

One in four Americans age 65 and older has a fall each year. Falls are the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal injuries for older Americans, and are costly in terms of dollars and quality of life
The good news: Falls can be prevented!
Stepping On is a free 7-week workshop proven to reduce falls in older adults. The workshop features strength and balance exercises taught along with other strategies to build confidence and to prevent falls inside and outside the home.
MAC is offering two free Stepping On workshops:
• A virtual class will be held via Zoom beginning Tuesday, Oct. 26, from 1 to
3 p.m.
• An in-person class will be held at MAC beginning Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Zoom links will be provided when registering.
