Assistive Technology Center
The Assistive Technology Center, housed within the Caregiver Resource Center at MAC, has all kinds of devices that will help Seniors stay in their homes safer, longer and with dignity.
From rubberbands around Shampoo bottles to high tech medication dispensers, the AT Center has hundreds of items that can make life at home a little easier as one ages in place.
Make an appointment to come in and talk with our experts about your specific needs.
While the AT Center does not sell devices, the staff can tell you where you can find the product for purchase. Additionally, if you can’t afford the device, they can help you find funding sources.
Every Monday check out the “Featured Item of the Week”, and be sure to check out MAC’s Facebook page and Youtube Channel to watch the different video series showing how Assistive Technology can make your life a little easier.
Featured Item of the Week
Puff Paint
Check out our Assistive Technology Item of the Week, Puff Paint!
Once dry, Puff Paint becomes puffed up and raised. It can be applied to commonly used areas and buttons like on/off switches, temperature gauges, or timers. This can be a great tactile cue for individuals who are low vision or blind. Click Here for more info and to purchase!
