Assistive Technology Item of the Week – The Pour Thing

The “Pour Thing” is a helpful product for seniors because it makes pouring liquids from heavy or awkward containers much easier and safer. Designed to hold and tilt bottles or jugs with minimal effort, it reduces the strain on hands, wrists, and arms—especially important for those with arthritis, limited mobility, or reduced strength.

By providing stability and control, it helps prevent spills and accidents in the kitchen, promoting greater independence and confidence in daily tasks. This simple yet effective tool supports aging in place by making everyday activities more manageable and less physically demanding.
