MAC Is Going “Over the Edge” for a Great Cause!

At MAC Inc., we are always inspired by the people who go above and beyond to support our mission — and this spring, one of our own is doing just that in a very literal way.

We are excited to share that Bill Ritz, MAC’s IT Administrator, is participating in the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore’s Over the Edge fundraiser on May 8, 2026, where he will rappel down the 14-story Ross building in downtown Salisbury.

Yes — really!

Bill has proudly served as MAC’s IT Administrator for the past three and a half years, helping keep our systems running and supporting the important work that happens across our organization every day. Now, he is stepping outside of his comfort zone in a big way to help raise awareness and support for MAC’s mission.

In Bill’s words: “I serve as the IT Administrator for MAC, where I’ve proudly worked for the past three and a half years. During that time, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the organization’s mission and the impact it has on our community. I’m honored to represent MAC in this United Way fundraiser and excited to step outside my comfort zone by rappelling down the side of a building. It’s a fun and meaningful way to support a great cause and help raise awareness for the important work being done.”

Events like Over the Edge are more than just exciting community fundraisers — they are an opportunity to shine a light on the life-changing work happening right here on the Lower Shore. Every donation made in support of Bill’s campaign helps MAC continue providing vital programs and services for local older adults, caregivers, and families.

From supporting independence at home to offering wellness, nutrition, caregiver resources, and community-based services, MAC is committed to helping people age with dignity, 

connection, and support. Fundraisers like this help make that work possible.
