
MAC Incorporated invites you to participate in our effort to change the lives of people with dementia on the Lower Shore. MAC Incorporated is the designated area agency on aging for Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, and Dorchester counties and is dedicated to the principle that older persons are entitled to lives with dignity, security, as well as, physical, mental and social well being. MAC's (Maintaining Active Citizens) mission is to provide programs and services that preserve dignity, health and independence for an aging population.

Runners and walkers will qualify for a host of great prizes. The first 200 registrants are guaranteed an event T-shirt.
Overall Awards: Top 3 male & female finishers
Masters Division 70+: Top 3 finishers
Age Divisions: Top 3 male & female runners in each of the following age categories:
14 and under,
15-19, 20-29,
30-39, 40-49,
50-59, 60-69,
Masters (70+)

Accurate 5K (3.1 mile) route for runners
Cross Country Course
Splits at 1 mile and 2 mile points
Water at mid-point and finish line
Professional timekeeping by TCR Event Management
A scenic 2 mile walking path

50/50 Raffle (tickets also available for purchase on day of race)
After-race party with food and drink (Beer not available to those under age 21. ID will be required.) Free for participants, $5.00 for guests.

All of the money raised through the St. Paddy's Day event will support MAC Incorporated's programs and services specifically for those persons with Alzheimer's disease and their caregivers including:
Life Bridges Day Program
Recognizing that individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers have many needs, MAC Inc. has started the Life Bridges Project that offers a Day Program and other supportive services and programs to individuals and families to assist them in what can be a difficult and overwhelming journey.
Family Caregiver Support & In-Home Respite Care
Licensed social workers and nurses offer Lower Shore family caregivers consultation on their unique situations. Assessment, information and referrals, counseling and education are provided to those caring for loved ones with Alzheimer's and other memory impairments.
Caregiver Support Group
Small group gatherings for family members and caregivers which provide opportunities for socialization, education, and support. Respite care is available during the support group meetings.
