Building Connections Across Generations: The Salisbury School Visits Connections

At MAC’s Connections program, meaningful relationships are at the heart of everything we do. On May 26th, 2026, MAC had the pleasure of welcoming students from The Salisbury School for a special intergenerational visit that brought together young people and older adults for an afternoon of conversation, laughter, and connection.

Throughout the visit, students and participants shared stories, experiences, and perspectives while engaging in activities together. What began as simple conversations quickly grew into genuine connections, demonstrating the power of bringing generations together. Intergenerational experiences like this benefit everyone involved. Older adults have the opportunity to share their wisdom, life experiences, and insights, while students gain a deeper appreciation for the stories, resilience, and knowledge of older generations. These interactions help break down stereotypes, build empathy, and strengthen our community as a whole.

The visit was filled with smiles, meaningful discussions, and moments that reminded us that connection knows no age. Programs like these help foster a sense of belonging, purpose, and community for everyone involved. We are grateful to The Salisbury School students and staff for spending time with our Connections participants and helping create such a memorable experience. We look forward to continuing this partnership and creating even more opportunities to build relationships across generations.

Thank you, The Salisbury School, for helping make our community stronger—one connection at a time.
