Thank You to Oak Ridge for Serving at MAC During PEACE 1 Day

MAC extends a heartfelt thank you to Oak Ridge for volunteering with us during PEACE 1 Day on Sunday, April 12. As part of this regional day of service, Oak Ridge mobilized volunteers across the community for projects designed to create positive change and support local organizations.

We were grateful to welcome volunteers to MAC’s Salisbury location, where they spent time cleaning up outdoor areas, refreshing brick and garden spaces, and helping create a more welcoming environment for the older adults we serve. Oak Ridge’s PEACE 1 Day project listing for MAC highlighted outdoor improvement work for spaces where seniors relax, including landscaping and other beautification efforts.

Their hard work, kindness, and willingness to serve made a meaningful impact. Projects like these help enhance the spaces our participants, visitors, and staff enjoy every day, while also showing the power of community partnership in action.

We are deeply thankful to Oak Ridge and every volunteer who gave their time and energy to support MAC. Your service helped brighten our campus and reminded us how much can be accomplished when people come together for a good cause.

Thank you, Oak Ridge, for helping make MAC an even more welcoming place for our community.
