Senior Centers

The Salisbury-Wicomico Senior Services Center is for those who are age 60 and older, and live in Wicomico County.

Senior Center participants must also be able to:

  • Move from point A to B by themselves using a wheelchair, walker, or cane
  • Go to the restroom by themselves
  • Eat by themselves

The program is NOT for seniors who would wander out of the building, and for those who need prompting to take medications while they are in the center

The purpose of the Senior Center is to provide socialization and nutrition.

Example of activities:

  • Light breakfast and lunch
  • Guest speakers on a variety of topics, such as travel, and various health issues
  • Chair exercises
  • Bingo
  • Crafts and games
  • Performances by center participants, such as reciting poems and telling jokes
  • Musical and dance performances

Participation in the Senior Center program is free.

Suggested donations to help offset costs are:
