MAC has been the Lower Eastern Shore’s dedicated Area Agency on Aging since 1972!  The challenges that come with aging have no economic boundaries. We are grateful for all contributions we receive to support our mission of helping older adults live with dignity and thrive in their homes and community.

Ways to Give

Donations may be made through MAC’s secure website via PayPal or call MAC for help in making a donation with a credit card. If you wish to donate to a specific program that MAC offers, please select the appropriate option from the donation drop down menu at the checkout and use the text box if needed to send us more info. Recurring donations allow you to spread an annual donation out over 12 months through an automatic transfer from your bank or via your credit card. It is a simple and paperless way to donate. You can also opt to give a recurring donation once per year.

If you would rather make arrangements for recurring donations directly with someone in our finance department, please email us at finance@macinc.org or call 410-742-0505 ext. 115.

Donations can be an unrestricted gift that will be used for the MAC program in greatest need.

Donations may also be directed to a specific MAC program, including:

  • Meals on Wheels/Senior Center Nutrition Services
  • Meals on Wheels Loves Pets
  • Connections Senior Activity Programs
  • Caregiver Support Services
  • Life Bridges Dementia Day Program
  • Senior Care
  • Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP)
  • Gym
  • Wellness Programs

Have you considered including MAC in your estate planning? In addition to knowing that your gift will be helping a worthwhile cause, there may be tax advantages to your estate.  For additional tax information talk to your attorney, accountant or certified financial planner.

Ways to include MAC in your estate planning include:

  • Designate MAC, Inc. as your beneficiary or remainder beneficiary in your will, trust or life insurance policy. You can specify either a dollar amount or percentage.
  • Contribute to the MAC Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore or establish a fund with MAC as beneficiary
  • Designate charitable gifts from your IRA or 401K
  • Designate Capital Gains Property (stocks, bonds or real estate)
  • Designate MAC as a beneficiary in your published obituary

A memorial donation offers you a thoughtful way to celebrate a special person while contributing to our mission to help older adults live with dignity and thrive in their homes and communities. Please take comfort in knowing that your loved one’s memory will be honored by bringing much needed resources and services to the thousands of seniors here on the Lower Eastern Shore. If you wish to make a donation in memory or in honor of someone, please click here. When you get the checkout screen, please select “Memorial” from the donation drop down menu and type the persons name in the “Order Notes” text box.

Gifts of Property can be accepted but require approval from our board of directors beforehand.
